Production Order Planning
The "Production Order Planning" module provides the following functions:
- Forward, backward or bottleneck anchored calculation of production order due dates with respect to meeting requested due dates for customer ordered or stock products,
- Calculation of capacity utilization and methods to move work and level load when capacity utilization exceeds capacity limits on a given production unit,
- Planning methods that consider availability of inventoried stock material (finished and intermediate products) and the potential to allocate stock material to production orders,
- Planning methods that can potentially simplify plant floor operations by combining like or similar production orders, e.g. in case of small order item quantities.
We selected BetaPlanner for the detailed scheduling of the hot strip mill for its flexibility and the ability to model, within a few days, realistic coffins.
