BetaMatcher
BetaMatcher automatically generates mill schedules and handles all important aspects in the milling process including upstream and downstream constraints. It serves as a decision support solution for the mill scheduling. The generated schedules can be modified and have to be accepted before releasing them to production. BetaMatcher can be used for all mill based production processes including hot strip mills, cold mills, coating lines and other finishing processes.
BetaMatcher can work with unassigned, partially assigned or fully assigned material unit yard. Based on the available material units (slabs or coils) and to be produced mill production orders, BetaMatcher generates mill coil sequences as well as a reheating furnace slab loading schedule considering the technological and logistical rules and constraints of the mill. In case of unassigned material units, BetaMatcher will also automatically assign material units to production orders during scheduling.
BetaMatcher is highly configurable and allows the creation and customization of scenarios often used during the scheduling of the mill (e.g.: time horizon for scheduling, material yard implications, production order situation ...). BetaMatcher's flexible and configurable optimization algorithm uses exclusive scoring functions to direct the search and the optimization.
