Production Recording & Supervision
Once detailed production schedules, which define realistic, feasible production targets in terms of quality, quantity and due dates, have been transmitted from the SteelPlanner System to the relevant Level 2 Process Optimization Systems, the process of tracking progress and performance begins.
Through automated system interfaces to Level 2 systems or through manual operator entry, actual data on progress and performance can be collected and recorded in the SteelPlanner production results database.
Actual production data consists of:
Result data: For each intermediate or finished product produced, the actual result data relevant for logistics, production and quality control are collected, i.e. material properties, dimensions, test results.
Consumption data: For each product produced, the consumption data relevant for logistics and cost accounting control are collected, i.e. energy and commodities / media consumed.
Delay data: From each process unit, delay information with actual start / end times can be recorded, where applicable. This information can be used for production reporting, analysis and process improvement.

Our project focuses on the challenge of optimizing the furnace scheduling process for the different variants of the furnaces while maintaining the current conditions of the mill scheduling process. We are confident that difficulties in the furnace optimization for our ‘direct-charging material' will be resolved by the AIS solution.
