Production Scheduling
The „Production Scheduling" module creates and maintains production schedules and sequences for process units (resources) taking into consideration:
the requested delivery (ready for dispatch) date
and the specific technological constraints of each individual process unit.
The defined production sequences can be downloaded to Level 2 Process Optimization Systems using a well-proven interface concept for transmission of production schedules and schedule status information to ensure up-to-date information for both SteelPlanner-System and Process Optimization Systems or the schedules can be made available for display using a PC-client application designed for viewing the schedule and updating production results.
If automated, optimal scheduling is desired, the SteelPlanner Solution contains the optimal scheduling modules AlphaPlanner (for Continuous Caster Scheduling), BetaPlanner (for Rolling Mill Scheduling) as well as MFC (Material Flow Coordinator).
The system is increasing the possibility to raise overall throughput on the same given limited area with the same number of employees.
