Implemented in more than 60 industrial plants, the SteelPlanner® is a high performance planning and control solution which increases substantially the performance of a metallurgical plant in terms of product output (even for smaller order lot sizes), quality, order-to-delivery time and cost.
The SteelPlanner® is specifically designed to meet the unique requirements of the metals industry. From order entry to product dispatch, it enables perfectly coordinated production scheduling, just-in-time delivery, exactly controlled inventories as well as lower energy and logistic costs.
SteelPlanner® includes all the functionalities needed to integrate the corporate and financial layers with the shop floor automation systems. The AIS SteelPlanner® solutions plan, control and optimize the steel business process. With the SteelPlanner suite, AIS remains focused on its core business: providing IT solutions dedicated to the Steel Industry.

All the SteelPlanner® modules have been developed based on R&D and collaboration of key players of the worldwide Steel Industry. The steel production has a level of complexity that needs to be addressed properly with state of the art optimization techniques. With this close collaboration between the SteelPlanner® development centre and the industry leaders, SteelPlanner® captures this complexity and provides steel specific solutions taking into accounts the steel production process from raw material stocks to final product delivery.
With this new project, Cold End Solution, we hope to improve the scheduling synchronization of the three flat products plants of Ternium Sidor: the cold strip mill, the hot strip mill and steelmaking. At the same time achieving such benefits as optimizing resources, maximizing facilities productivity, minimizing costs, and upgrading customer fulfillment.
